Frequently Asked Questions
Clear, honest answers about booking, vehicles, fares, airport pickups, and day trips across Kuala Lumpur and beyond.
Everything You Need to Know
Planning private transport in a new city raises plenty of questions, and we would rather answer them upfront than leave you guessing. Below you will find straightforward explanations of how MY13KLTAXI works, from your first WhatsApp message to the moment you step out at your destination. If anything is still unclear, our team is always one quick message away.
Booking & Confirmation
How do I make a booking?
Booking happens entirely over WhatsApp, no apps or accounts required. Send us your date, pickup time, starting point, destination, and how many people are travelling, and we reply with a clear quote. Once you agree, we confirm every detail in writing and your ride is secured.
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier the better, particularly for airport runs, public holidays, and long outstation journeys, when good vehicles fill up quickly. A day or two ahead is comfortable for most trips, yet we will always do our best to help with genuine last-minute requests whenever a driver is free.
Will I receive a confirmation?
Yes. After you approve the quote, we send a written confirmation on WhatsApp listing your pickup time, location, chosen vehicle, route, and the agreed all-in fare. Keep that message handy on travel day, as it holds everything you and your driver need to stay perfectly in sync.
Can I change or cancel my booking?
Of course; plans shift and we understand that completely. Just message us as early as you can and we will gladly adjust your time, pickup point, or route. For cancellations, a little notice lets us release the driver and assist other guests, so please tell us promptly.
Is a deposit required to reserve?
For most single rides no deposit is needed; you simply settle with the driver once the trip ends. For multi-day charters, large groups, or busy holiday dates, we may ask for a modest deposit to hold the vehicle, and this is always agreed clearly before you commit.
Vehicles & Capacity
What type of vehicles do you use?
We run comfortable, well-maintained private MPVs such as the Toyota Alphard, Hyundai Starex, and similar people-movers. Each is fully air-conditioned, cleaned between trips, and driven by an experienced local chauffeur, so your group travels together in calm, spacious comfort rather than a cramped ordinary taxi.
How many passengers and bags fit?
A single MPV seats up to six passengers comfortably, with dedicated room for their luggage. If you are a larger party or carrying bulky suitcases, strollers, or golf bags, share the numbers when booking and we will match the right vehicle or simply arrange more than one.
Can you provide child or baby seats?
Yes. We can fit a child or infant seat on request without any fuss; just tell us your child’s age when booking so the correct seat is ready before pickup. Arranging it in advance keeps your little ones secure and saves precious time on the day.
Can I request a specific vehicle model?
You are welcome to state a preference, such as an Alphard for a special occasion, and we will do our utmost to assign it. Because availability varies by date, we confirm the exact model within your booking rather than promise something we might not be able to guarantee.
Pricing & Payment
Is the price per car or per person?
Every quote is per vehicle, never per head. You reserve the whole MPV for your group, so whether two or six of you travel together, the fare stays the same. That makes private charter especially good value for families and small groups happy to share one comfortable ride.
How do you calculate the fare?
We quote one fixed, all-in price based on your route, distance, duration, and any extra stops or waiting time. Once agreed on WhatsApp, that figure will not change; there is no meter ticking in traffic and no surprise surcharge waiting for you at the end of the journey.
Are tolls and parking included?
Yes. Your quoted fare already covers highway tolls, parking charges, and fuel, so you never need to juggle small change along the way. The price we confirm is exactly the price you pay, keeping your budgeting simple from the first message right through to arrival.
What payment methods do you accept?
Most guests pay the driver directly in cash at the end of the ride, with Malaysian Ringgit preferred. For added convenience we can also arrange bank transfer or an e-wallet on request; simply mention your preferred method when you confirm the booking on WhatsApp and we will sort it.
Can we add extra stops or waiting time?
Certainly. Mention any planned stops when you book and we build them into the quote at no extra cost. Two things are chargeable and we always say so before the day: adding a pick-up or drop-off point to the agreed route is RM 30 per extra point, and waiting beyond the agreed schedule is RM 120 per hour. Pausing at the attractions on a day charter is not extra — the driver waiting while you explore is what you are already paying for.
Airport Transfers
Do you serve both KLIA and KLIA2?
Yes, we cover both terminals equally, KLIA for full-service airlines and KLIA2 for AirAsia and other budget carriers. Simply tell us which one your flight uses, and your driver will be waiting at the correct arrivals hall the moment you clear customs and step out.
Will the driver meet me with a name board?
Yes. Your driver waits just past the customs exit inside the arrivals hall, holding a name board so you recognise each other easily. If the crowd is thick or you cannot spot them, we stay in touch by WhatsApp until you are together and comfortably on your way.
What if my flight is delayed?
Please relax; we track your flight in real time and shift the pickup automatically to match the new landing time. Reasonable waiting for ordinary delays is already built in at no extra cost, so an early or late arrival never leaves you stranded or scrambling for a ride.
Can you handle very late or early flights?
Absolutely. We operate around the clock, every single day of the year, so red-eye landings and pre-dawn departures are completely routine for us. Your fare stays the same all-in rate whatever the hour; just share your flight time and a driver will be there, wide awake and ready.
Day Trips & Outstation
What is the difference between a day trip and outstation?
A day trip keeps you within easy reach of KL, such as Genting, Batu Caves, or Putrajaya, returning the same evening. Outstation means longer journeys to places like Melaka, Ipoh, or Penang, which may fill a full day or comfortably stretch across several days on the road.
Does the driver wait during our stops?
Yes. On a private charter the driver and vehicle stay with your group all day, waiting at each attraction while you explore, eat, and shop at leisure. You set the pace, with no rushing to catch a ride back and no hailing a new car at every stop.
Can you arrange multi-day trips with an overnight stay?
We do this often. For tours spanning two or more days, we plan the route together and include the driver’s meals and lodging within your quote. You simply enjoy each destination while the very same trusted driver and vehicle stay with you throughout the entire journey.
Which destinations are most popular?
Favourites include Genting Highlands, the historic streets of Malacca, the Cameron Highlands tea trails, Ipoh’s celebrated food scene, and the easy beaches of Port Dickson. Tell us where you dream of going and we will shape an unhurried, comfortable itinerary at a private pace that suits your group.
